In order to fully utilize the research and exchange platform provided by the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Special Aquatic Feed (Fujian Tianma Technology Group Co., Ltd.) and promote cooperation and exchanges between the laboratory and peers both domestically and internationally, in accordance with the "Implementation Rules for the Management of Fujian Provincial Key Laboratories" and the development plan of the laboratory, the laboratory intends to establish 5-10 open research projects in 2024 to fund innovative research projects centered around the main research directions of the key laboratory.

    1. Application conditions

    Researchers from domestic and foreign colleges and universities, scientific research institutions, and feed enterprises are all eligible to submit project applications to the key laboratory. In principle, applicants should hold a master's degree or possess an intermediate or higher professional title, and should have certain research experience. Under the same conditions, priority will be given to senior researchers from external institutions. Applicants with intermediate or lower professional titles must be recommended by 1-2 peer experts with senior professional titles.

    II. Main research directions

    1. Safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly formulated feed for special aquatic products

    2. Functional aquatic feed additives

    3. High-efficiency and high-quality feed protein raw materials

    4. Feed testing technology

    5. Production equipment and process technology for formulated feed for special aquatic products

    III. Application Procedures

    1. The project leader shall submit a research proposal and fill out the "Open Research Proposal Form" of the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Special Aquatic Feed (see attachment) in the prescribed format.

    2. The leader of the applicant's affiliated institution shall sign and affix the official seal of the institution on the application form, and submit two copies of the "Open Research Application Form" to the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Special Aquatic Feed by November 30, 2024. At the same time, the electronic version should be sent to the email address of the Key Laboratory Office.

    3. The laboratory academic committee serves as the review body for project applications. Based on the research content, technical indicators, innovativeness, and scientific problems addressed by the project, the academic committee proposes whether to grant funding and the amount of funding, which is then submitted to the laboratory for approval.

    After the project application is approved, the project leader will be notified within one month. The project leader of the approved project shall fill in and sign the "Contract" of the Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Special Aquatic Feed with the notification.

    IV. Other Instructions

    The research duration for open fund projects is generally 1-2 years, with an application funding limit of 10,000-30,000 yuan.

    2. The approved funded projects should be reported as "Annual Plan Implementation Report" at the end of the year according to the laboratory regulations. After the completion of the project, the applicant must submit a research conclusion report to the key laboratory within 3 months, briefly describing the achievements obtained, the existing problems, and suggestions for the open work of the key laboratory. For applicants who have achieved outstanding results in the funded research projects of this year, the laboratory will continue to provide funding in the next year.

    3. If the project cannot be completed on schedule or requires a change in plan, a written report must be submitted to the key laboratory one month in advance.

    4. For research projects funded by this laboratory or collaboratively conducted with this laboratory, the research results shall be shared by this laboratory and the unit where the project leader is employed. Each open project shall publish at least one paper in an academic journal above the core journal level or apply for at least one invention patent. When publishing papers, applying for patents, declaring various achievements and awards, the funding source of Fujian Key Laboratory of Special Aquatic Formula Feed (Fujian Tianma Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd.) shall be indicated. The first author's affiliation should be dual-signed (i.e., with this laboratory included in the affiliation). When appraising achievements and declaring various awards, patents obtained, economic benefits, and other achievements must also be promptly notified to this laboratory (included in the project annual progress report and project summary report), and a copy shall be sent to this laboratory.
